What are you so angry about?

I will admit, at times I get angry at people who are "progressive" and "liberal" for what can be described as "good intentions" issues.  I am not saying sorry, I don't do that.  What I am saying is, there is a real and understandable reason for my anger.  I was taught, over the course of the past 37 years, that I must work hard to provide for my needs, and to make sure that my level of needs is commensurate with my level of providing...live within my means.  Debt was not something to take on lightly.  This was just a basic tenet of living.  I have seen my parents sell our house, and move us into a condo...because times were tougher, and we needed to adjust our lifestyles.  It is just being responsible. 
Another tenet was, "keep your nose clean"...don't do anything that will tarnish your reputation because integrity is not something you can just replace.  This is why I don't steal, join flash mobs to overpower convenience stores, steal old lady's purses, or do other thugery actions.  All this seems like pretty normal stuff to be taught.  And it was, until pretty recently.  The notion of being a good citizen and working hard were relatively typical American upbringing values for the better part of 200 years...and then...we got progressive.
Now, we are not supposed to look down on anyone.  We are not supposed to criticize how someone lives, it is their choice.  We want to be free to choose how we live, but we don't want the responsibility of how our lives turn out...and that makes me angry.  But if I speak out, and say something I see as a basic common sense point, like "If you drink or do drugs all day, don't work, don't pay your bills and be a good citizen, I don't care if you die on the street homeless, penniless and sick.  I don't want to pay for your healthcare, housing, food stamps...and if you have kids...I don't want to pay for them to follow in your footsteps...let the church adopt them off to a family that wants them."  Oh...I'm angry?  Hell yes I'm angry, because right now there are enough people passing laws that says it isn't the responsibility of the individual to be a productive member of society, it is the responsibility of the few that do work, do take care of themselves, do save money and work hard...it is we who are charged with shelling out more money to a system that is rife with corruption, liars, crooks and blowhards who make their living guilting us into working even harder to get ahead.  I was raised Catholic, and now I'm recovering..so if you think that guilt is gonna make me do anything, you don't know me at all. 
So, now I have to just grin and bear this burden...at least I get to live in a society that is grateful for the few that keep their heads down, toiling for the common good, with dreams of a few years towards the end of our lives that will be a bit more comfortable...but no.  No we aren't thanked.  We are vilified as being fortunate for our success.  We are seen as greedy, meanspirited and niggardly.  I actually am supposed to feel badly for being successful, otherwise I am just a 1 percenter wannabe.  REALLY?  Are you kidding me?  You take what I have had stolen from me, and then have the nerve to publicly protect the irresponsible living habits of those whom you give my stolen goods to...while calling me heartless and worse...you want to make my dreams of success the pinnacle of evil in the world.  I want a private jet, so I don't have to be molested at the airport.  I am not even close to that...may never be...but am I really an evil asshole for wanting that?  I don't see senators on Southwest airlines.
I carry a gun to protect myself...I feel like every time I've needed a cop, he was there 30 minutes later to take a report.  This is just the facts of life, they can't be everywhere.  But now, because I went through years of training, filed all the correct paperwork, and don't have anything bad on my record...so now the state says I have the right to protect myself.  Insulting...because the douchebag with the pistol who wants my stuff doesn't have the training, paperwork or clean record...and I'm probably paying taxes to make sure he lives under a roof, has food to eat in order to keep up the strength it takes to rob people.  In the words of Thomas Jefferson, "Fucking hell!!" 
Now, after all this...comes a nice little gem to show off how corrupt the system has become.  How does a progressive get votes?  He needs to appeal to those who can vote...and get them to support him.  Hard working people who are being fleeced by the tax system, and get little in return are not voting for liberals.  Intelligent people with independent thinking and principles are not voting for progressives.  Unions benefit from progressives, they vote for them.  Welfare and other "needy" vote for progressives, they benefit from their policies and strong arm tactics to steal from the providers.  But that isn't enough to win elections.  They need another group.  Women?  Well, if they make this election about a trumped up war on women (like there are no independent and intelligent women??) and maybe lie about how women won't be able to vote if a progressive is not in office...that's one way.  Make it seem like there is a real threat from the other side that rights will be taken away...the very thought that a politician is able to take a right away is amazing to me.  Our rights are not given to us by politicians...but progressives don't believe that, it isn't good for elections.  So women, you need to decide whether you are being manipulated by a drug addicted boyfriend  making you think that leaving is worse than the hell you are in...yeah...that stings doesn't it.
Who else can be bought?  How about starry eyed college kids.  What would get them on board.  Hope?  Change?  That ship sailed.  What about debt?  Maybe we could just forgive their college debt and say that it is the role of progressives in government to make sure that everybody in America is able to go to college.  Really?  I can't wait until politicians start making promises to 8 year olds in order to get them hooked on the political crack that is shared responsibility.  Every child in America deserves access to xbox live and a game console hooked up to a tv that is high definition.  Don't laugh...you have to pander to what the constituent wants.
Why am I so angry?  sheesh.

Americans Have The Attention Span of...Oooh look...shiny...

The media in the past two weeks has told us to care about Trayvon and Zimmerman because blacks are being targetted for hunting like rabid dogs.  Then Romney is waging war against women, because women are being targetted for systematic stripping of rights.  I will address these things in a moment...but I need to know if these are the most pressing issues because we have ended the war on terror/Afghanistan; ended the war on poverty, the war on drugs, the war on liberty?  I can only assume it is because we have solved the real and big issues, that we have moved on to the mundane.  We aren't so infantile that we would ignore the fact that we have $15Trillion in debt, millions sitting in jail for a plant product, uneducated children because of a bloated gov't department that is unable to do what they are tasked to do, useless wars in the middle east, legalized molestations at the airport...I hit on a word in the last sentence that sums it all up...useless.  Defined as futile, w/out use, fruitless, inutile.  But war is defined as the carrying on by force of arms.  How do we fight poverty with force?  How do you fight drugs with force?  But you can fight liberty with force.  It takes force to fight liberty.  We make decisions every day, utilizing liberty.  Some are good and healthy decisions, and some are poor or unhealthy decisions.  When you initiate force...presumably by gov't decree, you don't solve a problem, you eliminate the liberty to make decisions...which creates a struggle between those who disagree with the force, and those charged with carrying out the force.  Which will win is determined by the resolve of the liberty seekers vs the money needed to carry on the force.  Now we are back to useless.  There has been no winner in the war on drugs...but there has been a cost.  There has been no winner in the war on poverty...but there is a cost.  If anyone thinks there is going to be a winner in Afghanistan...they must be on drugs. 
   So, Hilary Rosen took a shot at Ann Romney for being a stay-at-home mother.  So what?  Are mothers in America so in need of defending that we are gonna stop talking about all the real issues at stake this election, or is there another reason for this aggressive response?  Maybe Republicans are so afraid of losing the women's vote, they are forgetting that they have done nothing to EARN IT.  Ann Romney doesn't need defending, and neither does my mother for that matter.  They are both stronger than the men they married...and I would venture to bet that they are the reasons why their husbands were successful.  Nobody needs to attack Hilary Rosen for being a lesbian adopter of kids...for the love of all that is scientific and provable, she should be attacked for being a classless partisan hitwoman with an agenda for making women look so weak they feel they need defending.  As a libertarian, I don't think any class of people deserve rights.  Individuals have rights.  And it isn't Romney, Obama or the damned government (including the Supreme Court) that grants these rights.  The constitution (Ruth Bader...no relation to darth vader...that is the thing you swore to uphold and defend...not the UN version) does not give us a damn thing.  It is a piece of paper that says we agree to live in our United States on the condition that the gov't of these United States doesn't do any of the following: (insert constitution here).  The 1st amendment doesn't give you the right to say peep...it just limits the gov't from stopping you from your inalienable right to free speach.  The 2nd amendment doesn't say I am allowed to carry a gun, it says the gov't can't infringe on my right to defend myself. 
   So, about this war on blacks and women...please show me where it says "you sit back and we'll give you freedom and money, and rights...and anything else you think you are being denied."  It doesn't...so shut the hell up already.  You are free, you are equal.  But instead of doing what Ann Romney, Gretchen Smith, Martha Washington, Condoleeza Rice, Hillary Clinton, Herman Cain, Walter Williams, J.C. Watts or any other black or female (or even black female) did, you sit on your asses and bitch about how you aren't being given your chance.  You make me sick, shut up.  I will not cry for you, I will not weep for laziness.  I will not give solace to those who wait for others to create, so that they may steal, cajole or otherwise take from.  If you want something, make it happen.  Earn your keep, and if you want to be my equal...then be it.  I can't and won't help you act like my equal; nobody can help you attain your status.  Just like nobody in this country can take it from you...until recently...where the jackals, the vultures, the hyenas...all of them scavengers and theives willing to caniballize to survive, but not willing to hunt or cultivate, have decended on public parks to decry the 1% who didn't sit on their ass waiting for equality to equal success.    It is only when you realize that the leaders of the pack of scavengers are simply using you to get their free meal; will you realize that you aren't the hyena or the vulture...you are the prey.  Al Sharpton doesn't eat without a dead Trayvon.  Jesse Jackson doesn't live in a mansion without corporations paying him blackmail money for racist threats.  Hilary Rosen doesn't make her living without serving up the average woman to the alter of sacrifice...you see, I don't think women are the weaker sex, but now many women do because they have been told they are in a war...a war that is useless.  Obama pays his women in the white house less than men.  Obama's reelection staff in Chicago is overwhelmingly white.  But that isn't important...because Ann Romney didn't put in 40 hrs/week at a restaurant...she just stayed at home...but at least her kids aren't drugged out losers on welfare...or we'd have heard about it by now...because that would be more important than the issues that are running this country into the ground...which both Obama and Romney support.  So, maybe this is all a distraction from that point...
