Who is to blame for a government shutdown?
Republicans? Because they control the House, which is where the purse strings are all tied to?
Democrats? Because they haven't passed a budget since April 2009?
The President for...well, whatever he's done?
no. It isn't any one of them. It's you. It's anyone who puts politics ahead of ideals. I know, easy answer...but think about it. Did you vote "against another candidate" or "for the guy with the 'D' or 'R'"? If so, you allowed this all to happen.
Trust me, Romney and Perry aren't going to end this bickering. They'll trumpet the call for their donors, assign old drinking buddies as ambassadors, and in the end, we'll still be funding the UN, in three wars, broke and fighting over who is to "eat their peas" and who "pays their fair share". It's kinda funny, if it weren't so damn stupid. What would it take to get enough people together to overturn the status quo? Ross Perot? How far we've come in twenty years.
